SLEAR LAW
INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMPLIANCE
PHILOSOPHY
THE MISSION
After advising clients for 23 years at two major firms, I founded Slear Law so that I could make it my mission to put my clients first. Ahead of ever-increasing rates and pressure to use inexperienced associates to create leverage, all of which puts the law firm partners first. In addition, I offer my clients the benefit of extensive international trade experience gained from many years of advising clients of all sizes including some of world's largest and most prominent companies, as well as small businesses and individuals. My core values of service and excellence are rooted in my experience as a commanding officer and judge advocate while serving in the U.S. Air Force on active duty for 16 years and in the Reserves for 7 years thereafter. If you're seeking counsel who has the experience to provide guidance on international trade matters with core values that will put you first, I look forward to serving you.
EXCELENCE IS THE STANDARD
When I was in Officer Training School at Medina Annex on Lackland AFB, I saw this motto on a sign on one of the barracks. It's been my personal motto ever since. The lessons from my military training and experience have served me well in my 23 years since leaving active duty as I made service with excellence my quest. I was an administrative commanding officer my first few years in the Air Force. It was an awesome responsibility and a fantastic opportunity to learn to lead the enlisted members of my unit with the sage advice of my first sergeants and to serve the needs of the operational commanding officer. My interactions with the judge advocate corps motivated me to apply for the Air Force Funded Legal Education Program. After being accepted to Georgtown Law, I was selected. I never stopped applying the lessons and principals taught to me by my commanders, teachers, mentors, and colleagues. It has been my privilege to serve many clients, to help them navigate complex international trade matters and solve thorny problems that often arise in these matters.
